Fonda Vela ****
Location
The Fonda Vela hotel proximity to the world famous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve makes this luxurious eco-lodge a favorite with bird watchers who can see the rare Resplendent Quetzals and Three-wattled Bell Birds.
The Hotel is about 1km past the Monteverde Cheese Factory and 2km before the Monteverde Reserve.

Hotel Fonda Vela has two restaurants. The elegant and spacious Galleria seats 100, and has walls of large windows with beautiful, tropical views. Sometimes, cute, wild animals come to the windows to watch the diners!
The cozy Fireside Room seats 40 and is accentuated by the crackle and dancing flames of a wood-burning fireplace. Terrace seating on the balcony offer views of the Gulf of Nicoya. The sunsets are truly beautiful.
